US set to extend African railway project through Tanzania  

11 September 2024- The U.S. government says it is set to expand the Lobito Corridor - a railway project that runs from Angola to Zambia through the Democratic Republic of the Congo - all the way to the Indian Ocean through Tanzania. The railway would connect African countries to global markets and enhance regional trade and economic growth, supporters say.

Angola Offers First-Ever Marginal Field Opportunities Ahead of 2025 Limited Tender

5 July 2024 -Angola is offering five marginal fields for exploration in addition to 24 other block opportunities. Representing a first for the country, the marginal fields are situated in operated blocks and hold proven reserves with commercial potential. 

Marginal field opportunities include Block 4, which includes the Kiame, 4_24 and Kiabo prospects as well as open areas and Block 14, which includes the Malange, Lucapa and Gabela prospects.

Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI) Celebrates Signing of Finance Agreements for Republic of Angola Projects

5 July 2024-   Today, on the margins of the Corporate Council on Africa’s U.S.-Africa Business Summit, the United States and the Republic of Angola celebrated the signing of final     agreements to finance three major infrastructure projects in the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI)’s flagship Lobito Corridor.
