6 June  2024- After Angola identified imported poliovirus cases from neighboring countries, efforts to combat polio intensified in the Lóvua refugee settlement. The Angolan Ministry of Health, supported by the WHO, UNICEF, and other partners, launched a polio vaccination campaign. This initiative, crucial for over 1,700 vulnerable children in the settlement, offers peace of mind to families like Lucie's.
